Heather Voigt started offering boudoir photography services in 2012 and officially became a full-time boudoir photographer in 2016. Today, boudoir portrait sessions are photographed under the Bare Boudoir Collective brand. A Bare Boudoir session takes place in our downtown Wausau studio Monday through Friday between 9 am and 4 pm with select weekend datges available throughout the year.
Boudoir photography encompasses the art of capturing a woman in a private, intimate setting. Yet, it transcends mere imagery. It's a chance to reaffirm your beauty, courage, and potential. We celebrate the diversity of all bodies, regardless of age or size! A boudoir photoshoot is inclusive of every body. There's no requirement to lose weight or alter your appearance. With our adept posing and lighting techniques, we accentuate your natural, individual beauty in every photograph. After all, you're already inherently beautiful and alluring.
Whether you're a size 2 or 22, you are inherently beautiful. My goal is to make at least a small impact in the idea that a woman is supposed to look a certain way. We are all beautiful in our own unique ways and my job is to create images that highlight your true beauty. I am skilled and knowledgeable in posing and lighting techniques for every body shape and size. I am passionate about making all women feel incredible despite a number on a dress tag, scale, or pair of jeans. My studio is a body positive space where everyone is welcome.

WHERE DO YOUR SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
My studio is located downtown Wausau, Wisconsin. Sessions take place in the studio or on-location by special request. Additional fees do apply for on-location sessions. Travel sessions are available throughout the year.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Once your appointment is confirmed, you'll receive a list of recommendations on attire and how to prepare for your session. The short of it, wear whatever will make you feel amazing. Whether that's a sweater and panties, a full lingerie set, nothing at all, or anything in-between I am here for it.
WHAT'S THE TURN-AROUND FOR PHOTOS?
Digital images are ready to be viewed & downloaded within 2 weeks of your session. Please allow 4-6 weeks for printed items.
IS HAIR AND MAKEUP INCLUDED?
Hair & makeup is not included, however, I am happy to give you a list of my favorite stylists in the Wausau area with details on how to book with them.
DO YOU EDIT THE PHOTOS?
I enhance photos by adjusting color, contrast, and composition, while also employing basic skin softening techniques and minimizing prominent bruises and scars where possible. My approach to skin softening reduces the visibility of fine lines and stretch marks. Please note, I do not remove tattoos or correct uneven skin tones, so we advise avoiding excessive sun exposure in the weeks leading up to your session. My aim is to deliver polished portraits that authentically represent my clients. I maintain your natural body size, shape, and facial structure, while leveraging my expertise in posing to capture your best angles.
WILL YOU HELP ME POSE?
Absolutely! Don't stress about posing—it's my expertise! Whether it's facial expressions or body posture, I'll guide you every step of the way, ensuring you look your absolute best, down to the smallest detail.
DO YOU HAVE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?
I require all clients to be at least 21 years old. Special exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis, but you must be at least 18 years old per State and Federal Law.
WILL MY PHOTOS BE ONLINE?
Absolutely not. I prioritize your privacy and never distribute photos without explicit written consent. Under no circumstances. Upholding client confidentiality is paramount to me. The individuals featured on our website have provided explicit written authorization for me to showcase their images. The majority of our clients prefer to maintain the privacy of their photos, and I wholeheartedly respect and adhere to their wishes.

However, beyond accolades and experience, what matterse most to me is connecting with my clients and creating timeless images that they'll cherish. HOW MUCHDOES IT COST?
Sessions start at $350 which includes 3 outfits, posing guidance, studio editing & retouching, secure online gallery and digital download of your favorite 20 images from your session.
